Tens of thousands of Covid vaccines given out in Notts in the last week

Another 36,627 coronavirus vaccines have been given to people across Nottinghamshire in the last week, NHS data shows.

Latest figures, which account for the period up to March 7, show a cumulative total of 376,660 vaccines have been recorded in Nottinghamshire.

The statistics relate to first and second jabs and the latest data marks an increase from 340,033, recorded the week before.

A total of 148,940 people under 60 have now received their first vaccine and 47,383 for those over 80.

Meanwhile, analysis of NHS data suggests the 10 Parliamentary constituencies in England with the lowest estimated Covid-19 vaccine uptake among people aged 60 and over are in London.

However, of the 30 constituencies with the lowest estimated uptake among people aged 60 and over, only three were outside London – Birmingham Ladywood, Slough and Nottingham East.

The 376,660 cumulative total for Nottinghamshire compares to that of 385,375 recorded in Derbyshire, 378,506 in Leicestershire and 304,850 in Lincolnshire.

Supplies have been reduced slightly in recent days with Nottinghamshire's appointment system adapted around this.
