Tennis: Murray semi-final threatened by rain

Andy Murray may have to wait until Sunday to play his US Open semi-final with the world No1 Rafael Nadal as New York prepares itself for torrential rain. Play is due to start at Flushing Meadows at 4pm BST, however the remnants of tropical storm Hanna are forecast to hit New York and heavy downpours are expected.

If rain wipes out Saturday's play, an extra day will be added to the tournament. The men's semi-finals would be moved to 4pm and 9pm BST on Sunday, with the women's final - due to begin at midnight tonight - rescheduled to 2am on Monday and the men's final moved to 9pm on Monday.
