Organisers of the Australian Open appear hellbent on having Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend this year’s edition, after extending an open invite to the power couple ahead of the grand slam.
Tennis Australia made a bid to court (Ha, court!) the stars for the sporting event via a spokesperson, who said Kelce’s empty NFL schedule leaves room for a trip Down Under when the AO kicks off in Melbourne next week.

“With Travis not making the playoffs with the Kansas City Chiefs we have extended an open invite to him and Taylor Swift to come to the Australian Open,” a rep said, per the Herald Sun.
To support its bid, Tennis Australia cited fellow NFL stars Joe Burrow and Micah Parsons, saying they both “came to the AO at the last minute” last year and “ loved the experience”.
“This year we would welcome with open arms Travis and any of the other NFL players to experience the AO, like Joe and Micah did,” the rep said. “We are looking forward to welcoming celebrities and VIPS from Australia and around the world”.
The power couple are no strangers to courtside sightings, having attended the US Open in NYC in 2024.

Swift and Kelce weren’t the only stars to cop invites, with Herald Sun reporting that Tennis Australia is also gunning for Gerad Butler and Tom Hanks to appear in the crowd.
They might join an array of other Aussie celebs already locked in for the AO, including Eric Bana, The Veronicas, Carrie Bickmore, Kerrie Anne Kennerley and Joel Creasey, among others.
The AO also welcomed a bunch of stars for last year’s edition, with Jackie Chan, Rebel Wilson, Dannii Minogue and Tyra Banks all spotted in the exclusive courtside box throughout the weeks-long sporting event.

This year’s AO begins on Monday, January 12 at Melbourne Park and will continue until February 1.
Keep an eye out for Swift and Kelce during that time, but my guess is their literal wedding might be a higher priority than potentially sitting next to… Kerrie Anne Kennerly.
