Tennessee Titans’ Week 11 Player of the Game: Derrick Henry

Running back Derrick Henry came up big for the Tennessee Titans during their Week 11 win over the Baltimore Ravens, leading to him earning our Player of the Game honors.

It was tough sledding during the first half for Henry, who didn’t have much room to run thanks to shoddy blocking upfront. However, as we have seen time and time again, The King got going in the second half.

Henry was the catalyst for the Titans’ offense in the final two quarters, as he was ripping off chunk gains and helping to setup the play-action, which led to plenty of success for Tennessee’s passing attack.

Not only did Henry carry the ball 28 times for 133 yards, he also scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime on a 29-yard scamper that helped Tennessee avoid having to depend on Stephen Gostkowski.

Perhaps more impressively, Pro Football Focus noted that Henry totaled over 100 yards after contact, the second time he has done so this season.

With his performance on Sunday, Henry has now broken the 1,000-yard mark three seasons in a row and is squarely in the running to win his second consecutive rushing crown.

Henry and the Titans will look to keep the good times rolling when they meet the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 12.
