If the Tennessee Titans are looking to add an EDGE in the 2020 NFL Draft, Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis could be an option.
According to Peter King of NBC Sports, Lewis listed the Titans as one of the teams he has met with.
“I’ve been mostly using Zoom to have meetings with some teams. Green Bay, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Tennessee, Detroit. That’s been completely weird. I talked to one team with my shirt off, looking kind of rough.”
Lewis has seen his stock rise a bit during the offseason and figures to be an early Day 2 pick. He might not be around when the Titans’ turn comes up late in the second round, though.
It is quite possible that the Titans trade down out of the No. 29 spot to accumulate more picks and draft Lewis, but more pressing needs exist for the Titans to fill in that spot at defensive end and cornerback, to name a few.
After the signing of Vic Beasley, Tennessee’s need at EDGE isn’t as profound as it once was. And, if the Titans were to add Jadeveon Clowney to the mix as well, EDGE — and quite possibly defensive end — could move even further down the priority list.
As it stands now, the Titans have a solid stable of outside linebackers with Beasley, Harold Landry, Kamalei Correa, Derick Roberson, D’Andre Walker and Reggie Gilbert.
This could allow general manager Jon Robinson to at least wait on addressing the position until later in the draft, if he addresses it at all.
