Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler is officially a Hall of Famer.
On Friday, Butler reacted to the news that he would be inducted into the Gulf South Conference Hall of Fame.
“It’s such an honor to inducted into @GulfSouth the hall of fame… This accomplishment wasn’t possible without all of my teammates and coaches @uwa_football.Thank you so much for recognizing me,” he wrote on Twitter.
Butler spent two seasons from 2012 to 2013 at West Alabama, earning Division II All-American honors in his second year there.
Butler posted 93 tackles and intercepted seven passes, including three in one game in one appearance during his career.
He is one of six players who make up the Class of 2020 — the seventh one since the GSC Hall of Fame came into existence in 2014.
Butler originally signed with the New England Patriots back in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, and made his way to Nashville as a free agent in 2018.
Butler has recorded five interceptions over 25 contests, and was steadily gaining momentum after a slow start to his Titans career, but was placed on Injured Reserve with a wrist injury after playing in just nine games last season.
