Tennessee Titans go EDGE, RB, OL in Draft Wire’s latest mock

Three positions the Tennessee Titans might look to address in the 2020 NFL Draft are EDGE, running back and offensive line.

In his latest three-round mock draft, Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling has the Titans adding to each of those positions in the first three rounds.

Here’s a look at the picks he made, as well as the write-up for the first-round pick.

Round 1, pick No. 29: Yetur Gross-Matos | EDGE | Penn State

The Titans are built for sustained success, which should allow them to play the “best player available” game here. Thankfully for them, this scenario gives them a fantastic balance of value and need. Gross-Matos is the prototype for today’s NFL edge defender, and his strong finish to the 2019 season proved he’s still worthy of first-round consideration.

Round 2, pick No. 61: J.K. Dobbins | RB | Ohio State

Round 3, pick No. 93: Shane Lemieux | OL | Oregon

While you can certainly make a case for the Titans drafting a player at each of those positions, I tend to believe that the team will prioritize adding a cornerback at some point in the first two rounds.

Tennessee might end up losing Logan Ryan this offseason, and Malcolm Butler’s big contract makes him a candidate to be cut next year.

Adding to that, Adoree’ Jackson will enter the fifth year of his rookie deal in 2021 assuming the Titans pick it up come May, which means he might hit the open market in 2022 should the team not extend him.

Lemieux is a solid prospect for sure, but his experience on the offensive line comes at left guard, which isn’t an area of need for the Titans right now.

However, I am a fan of both Gross-Matos and Dobbins, both of whom fill a need for Tennessee immediately.
