After falling one game short of the Super Bowl last season, the Tennessee Titans are being given top five odds to win the AFC in 2020.
According to BetMGM, the Titans (+1200) are being given the fifth-best odds of all AFC teams to make it to the Super Bowl.
Ahead of the Titans are the Kansas City Chiefs (+300), the Baltimore Ravens (+420), the New England Patriots (+700) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (+1000).
The Titans defeated both the Patriots and the Ravens in the playoffs this past season, and the Steelers didn’t even make the playoffs, so an argument can be made that the Titans should be at least one spot higher.
That argument would only get stronger if quarterback Tom Brady leaves the Pats, especially if it’s for Nashville.
Part of the reason the Titans are where they are right now could be because of the uncertainty of their future, making the 2020 offseason an important one.
General manager Jon Robinson has to find a way to secure both quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry, the team’s two biggest free agents. On top of that, right tackle Jack Conklin and cornerback Logan Ryan are also set to hit the open market.
If the Titans can secure at least three of those four players — particularly Tannehill, Henry and Conklin — there’s no reason why this team shouldn’t be competing for the AFC Championship once again in 2020.
