The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with cornerback Tye Smith on a one-year deal, which will keep him in Nashville for another season.
The news comes from Jim Wyatt of Titans Online and was confirmed by the team’s official Twitter account.

Smith played in nine games (three starts) for the Titans in 2019, totaling 26 combined tackles and two forced fumbles.
Smith was originally signed by the Titans in 2017, but was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
The Titans were looking a bit thin at cornerback after the departure of LeShaun Sims to the Cincinnati Bengals and with Logan Ryan’s return looking increasingly unlikely.
The return of Smith provides some much-needed depth in the secondary and on special teams.
Tennessee will likely continue to be active at the position. The team will probably add at least one cornerback in the NFL Draft and could add more players to the position through free agency in the weeks ahead.
