Tennessee Teen Accidentally Shot And Killed By Mother

A tragic incident in Tennessee has left a mother grieving the loss of her teenage daughter after a devastating accident involving a firearm. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is currently investigating the death of 13-year-old Dearria Radley.

According to a press release from the authorities, the incident occurred when the teen's mother, DeAnn Radley, accidentally discharged her loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol while rummaging through her purse in search of her keys. The handgun went off, shooting through the purse and fatally injuring her daughter.

Upon realizing what had happened, DeAnn Radley immediately called 911 in a state of panic. Emergency services responded swiftly, and the teenager was rushed to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Tragically, despite the best efforts of medical staff, she succumbed to her injuries from the single gunshot wound.

In a heart-wrenching statement to local news outlets, Radley expressed the profound grief and devastation she is experiencing. She described her world as 'falling apart' and emphasized the deep love she had for her daughter.

The Nashville police have confirmed that no charges have been filed in connection with the incident as they continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Dearria Radley.
