The Tennessee Volunteers offense struggled both on the field and on the sideline in the Swamp on Saturday against Florida. Vols QB Jarrett Guarantano threw a pair of interceptions in his first three drives, while on the sideline, Tennessee backup quarterback J.T. Shrout was caught on camera listening to an entire phone with his ear.
It’s possible that Shrout was just trying to hear if the phone was ringing in a packed stadium, but the short clip quickly went viral on Twitter. We’re only a few weeks into the college football season, but this could become the meme that defines Tennessee’s 2019 season.
