Scotland's most iconic lager brand Tennent's are fighting back against lockdown boredom by launching a new online pub quiz that anyone can enjoy for free.
Tennent's has decided to name the quiz 'PinTless' after the popular ITV quiz show Pointless.
The new online platform will allow anyone to host their very own pub quiz from home.
The news comes after Google Trends revealed that searches for ‘pub quiz questions UK’ are up by 710% since the lockdown came into place.
PinTless works by allowing quiz masters to pick questions from seven different themes such as general knowledge, music and sport.
There will also be some Tennent's inspired questions thrown in aimed at challenging lager superfans.
Users will then be able to challenge friends and family to their custom made online quiz.
Commenting, Kat MacBride, digital communications manager for Tennent’s, said: “With people unable to see friends and family in person, virtual-catch ups have made a big difference these past couple of months.
"A lot of planning goes into creating a quiz and after six weeks it can be difficult to find new questions, so we wanted to take the hard work out of hosting.
"With over 70 new questions each week, there will be something for everyone including a few one-off questions from special guests thrown into the mix."
“There’s loads of virtual quizzes popping up but there’s nothing quite like a pub quiz with family and friends like you’d have at your local.
"PinTless aims to make it easier for people to recreate that pub quiz spirit in their own home while they can’t get out to their favourite venue.”
