Tenet will reportedly be released internationally in August, ahead of the US

Film fans may still have a chance of seeing Tenet this summer, after it was reported that the film will be released internationally on August 26 – a whole eight days before it arrives in select North American theatres on September 4.

The movie had originally been scheduled for release on August 12, but Warner Bros. made the decision to pull the Christopher Nolan film from its release planner last week.

Now, it’s arriving next month in international markets, while North American audiences will be forced to wait longer following a rise in Coronavirus cases in the US.

As Variety reports, the film will arrive in 70 international territories next month, including the UK.

Christopher Nolan’s high-concept movie sees John David Washington’s special agent attempt to prevent a conflict "worse than World War III" through the manipulation of time.

The plot has yet to be revealed, although the trailer shows that there’s a powerful group who can be contacted through the use of the word “Tenet”. The likes of John David Washington and Robert Pattinson star.

The film is one of the biggest releases of the year, and many cinemas will be hoping to draw back guests with screenings of the film over the coming weeks.
