Tenet: Leaked set video and clapperboard logo hints at time-bending angle to new Christopher Nolan film

A new set video for Christopher Nolan’s new film Tenet may provide clues about what to expect.

The espionage thriller is about to wrap production in Estonia and one onlooker caught a video that hints the new film could have a time-bending twist.

The clip in question shows cars reversing slowly in both directions and, while this could be a technical decision helping the director capture a specific shot, it’s easy to speculate that something deeper is afoot – after all, this is the direction of Memento and Inception we’re talking about.

The possible time travel spin seems to be corroborated by the title rebrand, glimpsed on the film’s clapperboard in leaked set photos from Estonian photographer Andres Putting. In them, the film’s logo is stylised as: “TENƎꓕ."

According to Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR), Nolan’s new film is said to be costing approximately $225m, making it one of the most expensive original films of all time.

The film will star John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Clemence Poesy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Dimple Kapadia. Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine will also appear.

Tenet wil be released in cinemas on 17 July 2020.
