Tenet cinema tickets to go on sale in the UK from Wednesday

Tenet is finally arriving in cinemas soon after months of delays and from Wednesday, film lovers in the UK will be able to buy a ticket to see it on screen.

The film will be released internationally on August 26 – eight days before it arrives in select North American theatres on September 4.

As Variety reports, UK fans can book tickets from August 12 at chains including Showcase and Picturehouse, and at the BFI Imax. More are set to announce show times over the coming days, with dates revealed at TenetFilmTickets.co.uk.

The film has been pushed back a total of three times during the pandemic, having originally been intended to arrive in cinemas on July 17.

Christopher Nolan’s high-concept movie sees John David Washington’s special agent attempt to prevent a conflict "worse than World War III" through the manipulation of time.

The plot has yet to be revealed, although the trailer shows that there’s a powerful group who can be contacted through the use of the word “Tenet”.

John David Washington and Robert Pattinson star alongside the likes of Elizabeth Debicki, Clemence Poesy, Himesh Patel, Michael Caine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Kenneth Branagh.
