Bosses at a hotel in Tenerife hit by a coronavirus outbreak are being asked to hand over the names of all holidaymakers who have recently checked out.
Health chiefs have asked H10 Costa Adeje Palace to hand over a list of all tourist who stayed at the hotel after Monday, February 17, but who had already checked out.
February 17 was the date four Italians guests, who have since tested positive for the virus, checked in.
A spokesman for the regional health authority said: “The hotel has been asked for a list of the names of people who were staying at the hotel since the guests who tested positive arrived, and have already left Tenerife.

“That is so the information can be sent to their countries of origin for them to manage the tracking of those possible contacts.”
Confirmation tourists who are already back home will not be ignored comes after Brits who stayed at the hotel last week expressed concern about their wellbeing.
The hotel is currently on lockdown, with tourists forced to stay in their rooms in quarantine for the next 14 days.

About 1,000 guests at the resort, were told to stay in their rooms, but many have ventured out to sun themselves, stretch their legs or grab a coffee.
As they were put into isolation yesterday, notes were slipped under doors telling holidaymakers to "stay calm" and "not to leave your room".
An Italian doctor, his wife and two others have tested positive for the virus at the hotel as the outbreak spreads across Europe, with 12 deaths in Italy and almost 400 infections confirmed.
There are fears that cases could skyrocket in Britain after hundreds of tourists, including pupils and school staff, visited two affected regions in northern Italy for ski trips.
At least eight schools in the UK were closed on Wednesday and about 20 others had sent some pupils and staff home to self-isolate.
