Tenants' week: rental properties part 2 – in pictures

Renting gallery 2: Rental home in Finningley, South Yorkshire
Finningley, South Yorkshire. For the price of one bedroom in a shared house in London you can rent an immaculately presented four-bed, five-reception property on the outskirts of Finningley, eight miles from the centre of Doncaster. All the rooms are a generous size – here there is enough space to swing a lion, never mind a cat. Yours for £1,500pcm.

Renting gallery 2: Rental home in Newquay, Cornwall
Newquay, Cornwall. Sadly, this is a ground-floor flat so you won’t benefit as much from the sea views as you would in the first- or second-floor properties, but a short stroll through the french windows means you can gaze out over the water to Ireland (if you have very good binoculars). This £750pcm two-bed apartment is immaculate, with a large kitchen leading through an archway into the dining and living area. The master bedroom has an en suite shower, and there is a separate bathroom.

Renting gallery 2: Rental home in Weybridge, Surrey
Weybridge, Surrey. This is a one-bed annexe on a 1930s Tarrant house on St Georges Hill. It’s quite small and is pitched at professionals wanting accommodation for the working week. The rent is £995pcm, plus a hefty £350pcm for utilities – but this includes council tax, broadband, Sky TV and telephone, plus use of the outdoor pool.

Renting gallery 2: Rental home in Ranelagh Grove, London
Ranelagh Grove, London. This four-bed house near Sloane Square is, ahem, quite pricey at £2,100 a week (£9,100pcm). But frankly I would be happy just living in the bathroom. And just look at the size of the kitchen – you could play football in there. But there’s one thing I really want to know: how long are the necks of the owners? They must be giraffes if the head board in the master bedroom is anything to go by.

Renting gallery 2: Rental home in West Hagbourne, Oxfordshire
West Hagbourne, Oxfordshire. This period house is a fabulous alternative for anyone who works in London but doesn’t mind a 40-minute commute. For £1,750pcm you get three bedrooms and three receptions, open fireplaces, period shutters and an enormous garden. All just three miles from Didcot station.

Renting gallery 2: Rental home in Twickenham, London
Twickenham, London. This five-bed, newly refurbished family house on the river Thames really has the wow factor. It has five double bedrooms, three bathrooms, two receptions, off-street parking for two cars, a secluded garden to the rear, and a wonderful gated secret garden to the front. But for all that you will pay a quite substantial £2,192 a week, or £9,500pcm.
