HYDERABAD: The ten newly appointed judges of the Telangana high court were sworn in on Thursday.
Chief justice Satish Chandra Sharma administered them the oath of office at the first court hall of the high court.
K Surender, Surepalli Nanda, Mummineni Sudheer Kumar, Juvvadi Sridevi, NVShravan Kumar, Gunnu Anupama Chakravarthy, Maturi Girija Priyadarsini, Sambasivarao Naidu, Anugu Santhosh Reddy, and Dr. Devaraju Nagarjun were sworn in as judges of the high court.
The latest addition of judges will take the total strength of judges to 29 and the number of woman judges to ten making Telangana high court one of the top few high courts that have more than 30 percent, women, at their benches.
After the swearing-in, the new judges commenced their work at the HC. Some of them sat with senior judges in their benches and the remaining held courts as single judges.
Senior judges, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Justice A Rajashekher Reddy, Justice P Naveen Rao along with other judges and Advocate General BS Prasad, and scores of law officers attended the ceremony.
