Templeogue residents horrified after 'offensive graffiti attack' destroys beautiful estate

South Dublin residents were shocked to discover "offensive graffiti" scribed across their estate over the weekend.

Glendown Residents in Templeogue called on South Dublin County Council to remove the defacement immediately after the find on Sunday.

The local residents association said: "The estate has been subject to an offensive graffiti attack.

"As the graffiti is offensive, South Dublin County Council will remove it."

They added: "We have been in touch with our local councillors to get this removed as soon as possible."

The South Dublin controversy comes after the County Council announced that Ireland’s first purpose-built callisthenics and functional workout area has been installed and is opened to the public in Tymon Park.

Callisthenics is a form of physical training focused on teaching you to master your own bodyweight using minimal equipment.

The equipment, the first of its kind in Ireland, is specifically designed for competitive callisthenics training and is expected to become very popular with park users.

The aim of the installation is to empower people to create healthy habits, allowing them to improve their own physical and mental well-being through exercising in a public park.
