Is Temple really that good?
After dumping a Maryland team that rolled Syracuse the week before, now the Owls are looking the part of a possible contender for the American Athletic Conference title – even over UCF.
The defense has been amazing over two games – especially on third downs – and the offense has been fantastic, averaging 561 yards per game with a high-octane passing game that averages close to 400 yards per game.
Buffalo has an offense that can keep up for a while, but there’s one massive problem – the secondary is dead last in college football in pass efficiency defense.
Temple’s Anthony Russo will bomb at will, but UB will control the clock for close to 35 minutes and hold on just long enough from getting obliterated … at least for three quarters.
