Hot at the right time, the Owls were about as bubbly as it gets before they stunned UCF in the AAC Tournament. They got knocked out by a good Wichita State team, but they won eight of their last 11 games and have a big-time scorer in Shizz Alston who can score in bunches.
They’re great at generating points off of turnovers, they hit their free throws, and they have the offense to keep up the pace with just about anyone. They don’t do enough on the boards and don’t have enough of an inside presence, but they’ll score.
All You Really Need To Know About Belmont (26-5)

The Bruins won a piece of the Ohio Valley regular season title, came up with a strong all-around season and a solid run of 14 straight wins before running into Ja Morant and Murray State in the conference tournament. They caught a massive break by getting an at-large bid, and now … look out.
No one in the nation moves the ball around better – the Bruins lead the country in assists – and they know how to fill it up, averaging over 87 points per game. They might not be great on the line, and aren’t amazing on the boards, but if you want your team from the First Four that should make some noise, here you go.
What’s Going To Happen
It’s a terrific matchup considering Temple has the ability to screw up the Bruins’ passing ability – the defensive pressure will make a huge difference to keep the big-time scoring offense from going off.
Get ready for a wild and fun up-and-down game with a whole lot of big scoring runs. Belmont can hit the boards and will do more inside – and they’ll light it up from three, too. Belmont got the shot, and it’s not going to blow it.
