Temperatures to top 20°C this weekend but it's not all good news

It's a mixed bag weather-wise for Leeds this weekend, putting a bit of a dampener on plans for summer fun.

If you were planning a nice barbecue on Saturday, you might want to consider rolling it onto Sunday to save your sizzlers being drowned out by showery downpours.

According to the Weather Channel, Saturday will be a wet one for most of the day, with a high chance of showers across the city until 10pm.

But as long as you've got your brollies at the ready, it will feel warm with temperatures reaching 21°C in the afternoon and only a gentle breeze.

On Sunday, the downpours will dry up for a more pleasant day, putting summer fun back on the agenda.

But sadly, the sun won't be making much of an appearance, remaining cloudy with a gentle breeze and temperatures reaching 20°C.

The mixed weather looks set to continue into next week with another cloudy day forecast for Monday, followed by sunshine and showers for the rest of the week.
