Temperatures are expected to lift further on Friday for a dry and sunny end to the week before they take a dip.

It will be a dry and sunny end to the week for England and Wales, with daytime temperatures lifting into the mid to high teens - with some parts reaching 18C.

Over the North and West is will be cloudier, and in Scotland and Ireland however there will be light rain on Friday, reports The Weather Channel.

Temperatures will reach between 10 to 16C in the North, and 12 to 18C in the South.

In the evening, Scotland and Ireland will have light rain which will turn to snow over Scottish mountains.

By the end of the night there will be cloud and some patchy rain will edge in across North West England and Northern Wales. However the rest of England and Wales will be clear.

Temperatures will drop to around 3 to 7C across the North, and 1 to 7C in the South. There will also be scattered frost over the higher ground in Wales and South Western England.

A cold front will bring more cloud across the north on Saturday with a northerly flow behind but ahead it will remain sunny with temperatures still lifting into the mid-high teens.

Mothering Sunday will also be cooler, with temperatures reaching around 8 to 10C in the North and 10 to 12C in the South.

These temperatures look set to stay for the beginning of April, with cloud arriving too.
