Temperatures could reach 22C as Renfrewshire basks in sunny weather

Temperatures could reach as high as 22C degrees today as Renfrewshire residents basks in early summer weather .

The mercury is set to peak at around 4pm this afternoon, before temperatures cool down to around 15C at 9pm this evening, forecasters say.

Yesterday we reported on how the temperature in Paisley today is expected to far exceed that in the Spanish capital, Madrid.

And with it being the Easter holiday weekend, familes are expected to make the most of the sunny weather, with many people enjoying a day off work.

And the good weather is likely to last throughout the weekend, according to the Met Office. Although not as hot as Friday, at 17C, Saturday will offer similarly sunny weather, albeit with more cloud.

It's a similar picture on Sunday, yet on Monday we can once more expect wall-to-wall sunshine, with temperatures predicted to peak at the 19C.

However forecasters are warning us to make the most of the weather, with rain and dark clouds expected to greet our shores once more from next Wednesday.
