BHOPAL: After marginal respite from heat for two days, the temperature would again rise in the state. The rising trend may continue till the weekend while clouding after that may again provide some relief from the heat.
Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, there is a trough line over central Madhya Pradesh to interior Tamil Nadu and there is also a circulation over south Rajasthan. Temperature would witness a rising trend from Thursday, officials added.
Maximum temperature in Bhopal came at the normal mark while night temperature was slightly less than normal mark. Day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius, which was at the normal mark, while night temperature in the city was recorded at 25.6 degrees Celsius, a degree less than normal mark. Wind direction in the city was westerly and average wind speed was 16 kilometers per hour.
Highest temperature in the state was recorded at 45 degrees Celsius in Naogaon, Gwalior and Khajuraho.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Thursday the meteorological officials said, there would be clear sky and dry weather will prevail in the city. Day and night temperature in the city would be respectively at 42 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 16 kmph.
In the forecast for the state meteorological officials said, dry weather would prevail in the state and there would be no major change from the existing weather conditions.
