On Saturday night, the BBC aired the long awaited Newsnight interview in which Prince Andrew spoke at length for the first time about his relationship with child sex offenderJeffrey Epstein.

The extensive grilling from Emily Maitlis – which was six months in the making – has received a vast amount of attention from both the UK and wider world.

A large focus of the interview was on allegationsmade by Virginia Giuffre, who has stated under oath that she had sex three times with Andrew as a 17-year-old. In the interview, Andrew said he had no recollection of ever meeting Giuffre and that her claim could not be true as that evening he was at a Pizza Express in Woking.
