Tell us your favourite memories of growing up in Liverpool

Liverpool has changed significantly over the years, but one thing that's always been true is how great it is to grow up in our city.

Whether you were a child in the 1950s or a noughties kid, Liverpool has always been home to a variety of places and activities to keep children entertained. This includes shops you could browse for hours, enjoying a meal with your family at your favourite restaurant, or spending a summer's day at one of Merseyside's beaches.

Those of you that grew up in the 1960s may remember going ice skating at Silver Blades or admiring the musical instruments at Cranes music store. Many 1980s children will recall the Winter Wonderland Christmas Grotto at Blacklers Department Store or dining at one of the city's Berni Inn restaurants.

Meanwhile, 1990s kids will remember browsing the hundreds of books at Linghams, and for those who were youngsters in the late 2000s, it was all about spending the day at Liverpool ONE.

The ECHO is asking you for your favourite memories of growing up in the city, including your favourite toy shop and the store you miss the most. We'd also love to hear where you'd spend your pocket money and how you spent your summer holidays and weekends.
