Tell us what you think about A-level results and grades this year

This has been an A-level results day like never before - and thousands of youngsters across the country will currently be left in limbo wondering what their future holds.

Exams were not sat in the summer because of the coronavirus and so end of year grades for A-level students have been decided using a computer algorithm that looks at their predicted grades as well as other factors like their school's historic performances.

The government is under i ntense pressure amid chaotic scenes that have seen huge numbers of students have their grades lowered, with some missing out on crucial university places because of this.

Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has introduced a last minute change to the appeals process that students will be able to use if they are unhappy with their grades.

This will give them the option of using their mock exam grades or potentially resitting exams in the Autumn.

It has been a chaotic day and there will be lots of young people with different views on how it has affected them.
