I’m not a horror buff, but I am a loud and proud R.L. Stine stan. Like, one Christmas I decided to power through the entire Night of the Living Dummy series and I was so shooketh that I had to climb into my younger sister’s bed that night. Scared silly, I tell ya. Couldn’t play with dolls for a week. So you can imagine my excitement, nay – THRILL – when I found out there was a Fear Street film trilogy hitting big screens.
I’m talking terror, I’m talking nostalgia, I’m talking Shadyville, Ohio in all its grisly, ghastly glory.
And if it’s anything like the other R.L. Stine-inspired TV shows that all us 90s kids used to binge-watch after school with a pack of Twisties in one hand and a Tamagotchi in the other, then sign me the heck up. Take me to Shadyville already.
