The government’s top immigration adviser has attacked plans to prevent overseas care workers from bringing family members to the UK, warning that to do so could be “very dangerous” for the social care sector.

Net migration to the UK reached a record high of 745,000 in 2022.

We’re interested to hear from people who have moved to the UK from overseas about what their experience of working in the British health and social care sector has been like, amid staff shortages and intensifying pressures on the NHS.

We’d also like to hear their views on government plans to reduce net migration by curbing the number of dependents overseas workers can bring to the UK.
