More than a week ago Matt Hancock revealed that he has already booked a family break in Cornwall and hoped we would have a “happy and free great British summer”. On Wednesday, Boris Johnson warned that it was too early to be thinking about booking a summer holiday, even in the UK.
On Thursday morning, Hancock told Sky News: “We are doing everything we can to make sure people can have that holiday in the summer.” He added: “I do understand the yearning for certainty, but certainty is hard in a pandemic.”
If you have already booked a holiday in the UK for the summer, we would like to hear from you.
