It’s been a big week for air travel. Not only was the world’s attention captivated by a lovelorn hijacker with a fake suicide belt (a story made more surreal by the Brit who asked the hijacker for a “selfie”), but a flight bound for Japan was also diverted after a violent passenger wanted to do yoga instead of sit in his seat.
These stories are extreme – luckily no one was seriously hurt in both circumstances – but they show how eventful a flight can be. While most people, thankfully, don’t have such intense examples, they usually have their own tales of a dramatic or action-packed plane journey – from a fellow passenger with questionable travel etiquette to a journey spent craning their neck to see what movie a celebrity is watching in first class.
We want to hear your stories from the ridiculous (an argument over headphones/seat space/extra peanuts) to the sublime (a tale of being upgraded to business class and seated near Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their children). Tell us your gems in the form below or by leaving a comment below the line.
