Over the last year, there have been plenty of headlines about the NHS.
From the row over junior doctors’ contracts to the the increased pressures of Winter, it has not been an easy year for the NHS.
But there’s a side we don’t hear enough of, because it’s something healthcare workers do every single day. Whether it’s 999 call handlers or ambulance drivers and paramedics, from general practitioners to surgeons and midwives – each role in the NHS works towards the common goal of saving lives. And we would like to hear from the patients who have benefitted from the work NHS staff do day in and day out.
There are plenty of pieces and analysis talking about problems with our NHS, but this time we’d like to hear about what makes it so valuable.
Tell us: how has the NHS saved your life? Perhaps your GP spotted something you thought was a minor problem, or the speed and efficiency of a paramedic was crucial in a time of need. Maybe you’ve undergone surgery, had a long-term illness like cancer or been helped to recover from a serious mental health issue through the NHS.
Whatever your story, we’d like to hear it. You can share your stories via the form below and we may use it as part of our coverage.
