Canberra pub The Dock has had no shortage of fans since it opened in the nation's capital, but now it seems its fans include Hollywood stars.
Actor Chris McDonald reprised his role as the villainous Shooter McGavin from the 90s comedy Happy Gilmore to give a shoutout to the Kingston pub.
The video shoutout was made through the website Cameo, which allows users to request personalised messages from various celebrities.
"Congratulations to The Dock on winning the gold jacket for best pub in Canberra," McDonald said in the video in character, while also mispronouncing the capital in the process.
"I can't wait to come there, it sounds awesome.
"Cruise on down to The Dock, and watch the Raiders and Brumbies eat pieces of shit like the Roosters and Reds for breakfast, and tell them Shooter sent you. So choke on that baby."
The video has already been seen more than 2000 times since it was uploaded to The Dock's Facebook page on Wednesday.
Pub co-owner Ben Alexander said they requested the video as a means of a celebration following The Dock taking out best pub at the Australian Hotels Association ACT awards last month.
Mr Alexander said there was a personal connection to calling in the services of the Happy Gilmore star.
"[Fellow owner] Glen Collins has been called Shooter for 20 years and everyone calls him that," he said.
"After the win, we thought we would treat ourselves to the shoutout. We brainstormed the script and within 24 hours, the real Shooter sent it out.
"People have been saying it's been the best thing they've seen on the internet."
With Happy Gilmore marking its 25th anniversary this year since its release, Mr Alexander said there could be future appearance from Shooter McGavin in The Dock's advertising.
"We hope to hit him up again for a few more," he said.
