Telford baby missing: Nine-week-old infant snatched from home found safe and well

A nine-week-old baby snatched from his home in Telford has been found safe and well, police have said.

Two local women have been arrested on suspicion of child abduction and are currently in police custody.

The boy has been taken to hospital as a precaution where he is being checked over by medical staff,  West Mercia Police said.

He is due to return to his family shortly.

Officers were alerted shorty before 3pm on Wednesday to reports the infant had been taken from an address on Manor Road in Arleston.

The force launched an urgent appeal after the disappearance asking anyone with any information to contact them.

A police statement said: "We are pleased to confirm that the missing baby boy has been found.

"He is currently being checked over by hospital staff and will be reunited with his family shortly."
