A senior executive at the Daily Telegraph, Will Lewis, is reported to be leading a team preparing to launch a tabloid edition. Though there are no plans to stop publishing the paper in its broadsheet format, the smaller shape may go on sale concurrently with it in London and the South East later this year. Lewis's project is codenamed Raglan, after Lord Raglan, who commanded the British forces in the Crimean War, a key reason for the the Daily Telegraph's original launch in 1855.
