HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 190 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Saturday. The number of active cases in the state stood at 4,288. The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year, stands at 6,67,725 and the death toll stands at 3,929.
A total of 245 patientsrecovered on Saturday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,59,508. The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate stood at 98.76 per cent now. So far 79.8 per cent of overall cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.2 per cent have been symptomatic. On Saturday, 42,166 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed testing 2.67 crore samples and has reached 7.18 lakh sample testing per million population.
The GHMC recorded 58 cases on Saturday, while neighbouring Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 11 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 13 and Sangareddy recorded two cases. Outside of Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar with 22 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
