Telangana: Owners to be imposed penalty if they do not get the open plots cleaned

HYDERABAD: Owners of open plots have been warned that they would be imposed fine if they do not keep their place clean. Mahbubabad collector V P Gautham who went round the Mahbubabad municipal town limits during the ‘Pattana Pragathi’ programme identified 30 open plots in ward no. 30 and asked that the owners immediately clean them up. “These places have become breeding grounds for mosquitoes and they will result in spreading of seasonal diseases,” the collector said.

If the plot owners do not immediately come forward to clean up their plots, he directed the local ward councillor and municipal authorities to get earth movers and tractors to get the plot areas and spaces cleaned and the charges for them should be collected from plot owners.

The ‘Pattana Pragathi’ programme has been directed to be undertaken by the state government in which initiative should be taken to maintain cleanliness in all towns and cities.

An old unused well in the town will be cleaned up so that people would be able to use the water from it, the collector said.
