Telangana: Out of 345 who arrive at Shamshabad airport, no one tests positive for Covid-19

HYDERABAD: Out of the 345 passengers who arrived at the Shamshabad airport near Hyderabad in Telangana on Wednesday, no one tested positive for the Covid-19.

So far 2,255 passengers have arrived at the Shamshabad airport from high-risk countries.

Telangana, meanwhile, saw 205 new cases of Covid-19 cases and 1 death on Wednesday.

A total of 1,856 reports are still awaited.

The number of active cases in the state stood at 3,871.

The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year stands at 6,77,546 and the death toll stands at 4,002.

A total of 185 patients recovered on Wednesday, while the total count of recovered patients goes up to 6,69,673.

The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.59 per cent while the recovery rate stood at 98.84 per cent now.

On Wednesday, 38,085 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus.

Telangana has now completed testing 2.88 crore samples and has reached 7.75 lakh sample testing per million population.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 79 cases on Wednesday, while neighbouring Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 14 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 13 and Sanga Reddy recorded 4 new cases.

Outside of Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Hanamkonda in Waranganal with 19 new cases recorded the highest number of cases outside of GHMC limits.
