Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, a doctor, saves ailing IPS officer on flight

HYDERABAD: Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, a practising gynaecologist before her political foray, swiftly reacted to a midair emergency by attending to a co-passenger suffering from acute breathlessness on a Delhi-Hyderabad flight on Saturday.

The governor was returning to Hyderabad from Varanasi via Delhi when she resuscitated additional DGP-rank IPS officer K T Ujela. “Madam Governor saved my life,” Ujela said from a hospital.

“Got up to treat a passenger looking drowsy and sweating profusely. Made him lie down, checked his vitals and after first aid and supportive drugs, he could smile again...,” Tamilisai tweeted.
