HYDERABAD: Classes for first year degree students are set to begin from October 1 after the Telangana State Council of Higher Education concluded the third phase of seat allotment under degree online services Telangana recently.
According to details shared by the TSCHE, a total of 80,336 candidates participated in DOST counselling, of which 73,637 candidates have been allotted seats. Total 55,026 candidates secured seats against their first priority and 18,611 secured seats as per second priority submitted by them while exercising the web-options. Total 6,699 candidates were not allotted any seats because of limited choice of web-options.
As many as 285 candidates showed interest in the newly introduced bachelor of arts (honours) courses in economics and political science, of which 120 were allotted seats in Osmania University’s constituent colleges. The TSCHE will hold a intra-college phase from October 5 to October 7.
