HYDERABAD: Nalgonda police arrested an interstate peddler and seized 200 kilo ganja worth Rs 12 lakh from his possession on Saturday.
Acting on a tip off, Kethepally police of Nalgonda district organised vehicle checks at various spots on the highway. At Korlapahad Toll Plaza, they intercepted a four wheeler.
Upon seeing the police, two persons got down from the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police managed to arrest the third person, Mubeen Shaik, 27, of Uttar Pradesh, before he could escape. Police found 25 packets containing 200 kilo ganja concealed in the car.
