HYDERABAD: The Congress party has set a target of enrolling at least 30 lakh members into the party through the digital mode before January 26.
Those who enroll would be extended Rs 2 lakh accident insurance cover and get priority in welfare schemes after the party comes to power.
A huge public meeting will be held in Greater Hyderabad on December 9, a date on which Congress-led UPA government announced green signal for statehood to Telangana in 2009. The date coincides with Sonia Gandhi’s birthday. The plan is to hold the meet at Parade Grounds if defence ministry gives its nod. MP Rahul Gandhi will address the meet.
Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy was first among leaders to be given membership digitally. Digital membership drive was launched by AICC state in-charge Manickam Tagore on Monday.
