HYDERABAD: The Congress on Monday demanded that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao immediately take up a transparent review of comprehensive changes to set right the entire Dharani portal system.
He also asked him to seek the help of experts and public opinion.
All India Kisan Congress vice chairman M Kodanda Reddy and Telangana unit president Sunketa Anvesh Reddy told media persons that the Dharani system was causing more problems to the farmers pertaining to the ownership of their agricultural land rather than resolving the age-old land disputes.
They demanded that the TRS government should immediately remove all the land parcels of the farmers from the Clause 22A in the revenue Act and revive the system of holding revenue sadassulu (revenue meetings) in every village for solving the land related problems in front of the villagers.
The Kisan leaders also demanded that the state government should utilise already released Rs 80 crore Central funds to conduct land survey in the state and bring about more transparency in revenue department transactions to minimise corruption in registration of properties and entry of land records on Dharani portal.
