HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress has demanded that a special session of the state assembly should be convened to pass a resolution against the three anti-farmer Central farm laws if chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is sincere and committed for the welfare of the farming community in Telangana.
Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday alleged that CM KCR’s outburst against the state BJP president Bandi Sanjay and his challenge to order an inquiry against him is with the confidence that Prime minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit Shah would not act against him as the TRS and BJP have a tacit understanding at the national level.
The Congress has earlier submitted evidence on corruption in irrigation projects to the Modi government but no action has been taken so far. “KCR would not have dared to tear into the state BJP leadership if he did not have the support of Modi and Shah. KCR is taking care not to directly criticise PM Narendra Modi,” Revanth alleged.
It looks like KCR is addressing press conferences not to attack the BJP government at the Centre but only to abuse the state BJP leadership, that too under the direction of PM Modi to undermine the possible revival of the Congress in Telangana, alleged the TPCC chief.
People have voted the TRS to power and KCR as CM not to hold dharnas but to work for their welfare. The farmers are expecting that the state government will buy paddy. Both TRS and BJP governments are anti-farmer.
The Congress will stand by the farmers until they get justice and will continue to take up agitational programmes for the cause of the farmers, Dalits, Girijans, BCs, Minorities and the downtrodden he said.
