HYDERABAD: State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday alleged that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is running a smear campaign against Prime minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led central government as he is ‘depressed and going through an identity crisis.’
Speaking to the media following KCR’s criticism of the Union Budget and the central government, he said, “The CM is attempting to showcase his government’s work in other states and his claim that the country needs a change is nonsense, in fact, people in Telangana want a change.”
The BJP chief also alleged that KCR is attempting to put his words into the BJP’s mouth. “His comments on the Constitution are entirely his idea, but he is blaming the BJP,” he said. Sanjay said he was curious to know why KCR has not kept the promises he had made to the Dalits in the state.
“The language used by the chief minister is uncalled for,” he said, adding, “Why is it that KCR did not write letters to the Centre seeking support for the state in the last few years, why is he talking about it now?”
Further, the Karimnagar MP objected to the chief minister’s claim that the BJP is using social media to spread the message that Ramanujacharya’s idol is being erected with the help of the BJP. “KCR is afraid that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes for the inauguration, no one will care about him,” he said.
