HYDERABAD: In a fresh bid to capitalise on Droupadi Murmu’s nomination as the NDA presidential candidate, the state BJP unit is now calling upon tribal community members to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Hyderabad on July 3 in large numbers.
Speaking to reporters after holding a celebratory meeting, BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay said: “PM Modi is supporting the marginalised communities in every way. For the first time in the history of independent India, a tribal woman is going to be the president because of his efforts. I appeal to the tribal people to make the meeting a success.” According to him, the NDA’s choices have always reflected the party’s slogan of ‘Sab ka saath sab ka vikas’ (Standing up for all for their development). Meanwhile, extra security given to Sanjay was withdrawn on Friday.
