Telangana: 22-year-old man, who was missing, stabbed to death by couple in Mallapur near Hyderabad, say police

HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old man, who had been missing, was murdered by a couple in Nagalakshmi Nagar Colony in Mallapur near Telangana capital Hyderabad in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Nacharam Police said that Sohail — who owned a chicken shop — died after his throat was slit in the residence of Moin Khan — a street vendor who sells bags.

It was around 4.30am that the murder took place.

The couple — Moin Khan and his wife Neha Begum — were reportedly taken into custody and are being questioned.

Police said the couple, till three months ago, used to reside in Warasiguda.

During their stay in Warasiguda, Sohail befriended Neha Begum and they used to meet each other.

On knowing about it, Moin Khan was annoyed and he decided to shift their residence to Mallapur.

Despite shifting their house, Sohail allegedly used to visit Neha Begum in the absence of Moin.

When Moin came to know about it, he pulled up his wife.

Subsequently, Neha lodged a complaint against Sohail accusing him of harassing and disturbing.

The case was registered on August 3 and since then Sohail had been missing.

"It looks that the couple hatched a plan to trap Sohail by calling him to their house and accordingly Neha Begum contacted Sohail.

After Sohail came, his throat was slit with a vegetable knife to death by the couple," Nacharam inspector of police T Kiran Kumar told TOI.
