Four players, including striker Teerasil Dangda, have pulled out of the squad for the China Cup, Thailand caretaker coach Sirisak Yodyardthai said yesterday.
The other three are Sasalak Haiprakhon, Korrakot Wiriyaudomsiri and Sanrawat Detchmitr.
The coach has called up Suphanburi striker Chananan Pombupha, Chiang Rai midfielder Siwakorn Tietrakul, PT Prachuap midfielder Jidpanya Thisud and SCG Muang Thong United defender Sanukran Thinjom as replacements for the four.
Teerasil's withdrawal means he has to wait longer for his 100th international goal, having scored 99 times for the War Elephants.
The players reported for the training camp yesterday. Japan-based stars Chanathip Songkrasin, Theerathon Bunmathan and Thitiphan Puangjan will join the team at Suvarnabhumi airport today before leaving for China.
The four-team tournament in Nanning also features Uruguay and Uzbekistan.
Thailand will face China on Thursday and Uruguay will play Uzbekistan on Friday.
The winners will meet in the final and the losers in the third-place play-off on March 25.
