- Three teenagers have received custodial sentences for the manslaughter of Alexander Cashford, whom they lured to a Kent beach and killed last August.
- A 16-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were each sentenced to seven years in custody, while a 15-year-old boy received five years.
- Mr Cashford, 49, was chased and attacked with rocks and a bottle in Leysdown-on-Sea, Isle of Sheppey, after meeting the 16-year-old girl.
- The court heard the teenagers believed Mr Cashford was a paedophile, using an alias 'Sienna' to arrange a meeting with him.
- Mr Cashford's parents described him as a 'kind, friendly and compassionate person' and expressed distress over the 'slander against Alex’s name'.
